Relationship Skills

(1) MAKE A LIST OF THE PEOPLE THAT MATTER TO YOU IN YOUR LIFE. Evaluate your relationship with them and ask yourself how would you like it to be with them.

(2) ASK YOURSELF 'WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO DO IN ORDER TO IMPROVE EACH RELATIONSHIP?'

(3) DESIGN AN ACTION PLAN OUTLINING HOW YOU ARE GOING TO IMPROVE EACH RELATIONSHIP.

(4) BE AWARE OF ANY POTENTIAL PROBLEMS THAT NEGATIVELY IMPACT THE RELATIONSHIP. Ask yourself the question 'How can you effectively deal with them?'

(5) IF NECESSARY TALK THINGS THROUGH WITH THE OTHER PERSON. Explain your intentions to improve the way things are between you.

(6) MAKE SURE ANY TIME SPENT WITH THEM IS QUALITY TIME WHERE YOU ENJOY EACH OTHERS COMPANY. Be aware of any fights over something stupid.

(7) LET GO OF ANY HURT OR RESENTMENT YOU HAVE FELT IN THE RELATIONSHIP. Accept it and move on to connect more strongly with them.

(8) CONTACT SOMEONE YOU HAVEN'T CONTACTED IN A GOOD WHILE AND ARRANGE TO MEET UP SOON.

(9) CONTACT SOMEONE YOU HAVEN'T CONTACTED IN A GOOD WHILE AND EXPLAIN HOW YOU WERE JUST THINKING ABOUT THEM AND WANTED TO SEE HOW THEY WERE.

(10) IMAGINE YOUR LIFE WITHOUT ALL THESE PEOPLE IN IT AND THEN FEEL GRATEFUL THAT THEY ARE. Ask the question 'How can I make every single moment count?'
