Inspire
By Inspiration I mean something that gets other people to take action. Here are some suggestions to how you can learn to inspire people better..
(1) Be inspired yourself. Basic common sense but sometimes people still don't get it. If you are inspired by something it is contagious.
(2) Be aware of how you communicate with them. Your tone of voice, rate of speech and body language all are elements of how your non verbal language influences them. Ensure that you provide the same message with all parts of your communication.
(3) Use the trigger words which seem to be important words for them. Listen to people when they talk and use the same kind of words that mean a lot to them or that you hear them using quite often.
(4) Notice which kind of motivational word seems to work with them and use it. (Modal Operator) Different people respond in unique ways to words like: WISH, WANT, CAN, NEED, HAVE TO, MUST, AM GOING TO, WILL, SHOULD.
(5) Elicit the person's hierarchy of values and connect the action that will be useful for them to take to their highest values (provided of course it fits there honestly and congruently)
(6) Use powerful words and dramatic language to really sell the action you wish to inspire.
(7) Elicit the persons well formed outcomes and find a way in which they can take that action and it brings them closer to achieving their goals. (again as long as it fits there honestly and congruently)

(8) Talk long term. Use lots of presuppositions in your language about the action being taken by them. Future pace the experience of them having taken the action. Make them feel more confident and comfortable over taking the action and get them to really have the experience of looking back on taking the action from the point of view of how it will feel once they are successful because of it.
