This month lets look at some top advice on how to get organised. All too often we leave ourselves overclouded with things to do, whether at home or at work. So, here’s some help to get you organised.
1) Set aside a day to just get everything sorted. The amount of time that you’ll save over the next year will well be worth it. Make this a regular habit: once a week, month, three months, six months, year. ORGANISING TIME
2) Make a list of all your Contacts and Friends that you can think of now.
Note who you have/need to contact and when. Then note when you are going to contact everyone else on the list and how often. Set a regular time to contact each person. Some you may only need to be in touch with once a year, others once a week. Get into the habit of dropping a line to them. Make this your CONTACT TIME, once a week and once a month and once every three months, six months and once a year.
3) Write down all the things you have/need to do/finish this week, this month, the next three months, six months, year, 3 years, 5 years. NECESSARY TIME.
4) Write down all the things you want/would like to do/finish this week, this month, the next three months, six months, year, 3 years, 5 years. POSSIBILITY TIME
5) Set Well Formed Outcomes (Positive, Specific, Sensory based goals you can control and that are good for you and everyone else in all areas of life). Set them in 6 month, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 5 years segments. OUTCOME TIME.
6) Describe what you’ll need to do in order to achieve each goal/outcome. Make it into specific steps. Ask the question “What needs to be done and when, in order for that to happen at that specific time”. This is STRATEGY TIME.
7) Give yourself an extra couple of hours to catch up and finish things up each week. CATCH UP TIME
8) Design your diary/appointments/schedule around the information you’ve just gotten. Input the time you’ll spend at ORGANISING TIME (which includes: CONTACT TIME, NECESSARY TIME, POSSIBILITY TIME, OUTCOME TIME, STRATEGY TIME, CATCH UP TIME). Next, set your times aside when you want to contact people: (who and when); when you want to get things done (both stuff you need and want to do); and time for the steps you need to take to achieve your well formed outcomes.
9) Keep this discipline up. If you need a hand with this keep thinking of how aweful it will be if you remain an unorganised disgrace all your life and crank the submodalities (vividness of your mental image) up as powerfully is possible and associate it to NOT doing taking the time to ORGANISE. Then imagine how wonderful it will feel to be organised, successful, happy, clear minded, focused, motivated and brilliant. Crank up the submodalities and associate it to ORGANISING things well.
