
Here are some suggestions to getting your house in order, the power of ten minutes !!
During this age of fast pace and rushing to get things done, looking for immediate Gratification, people are looking for quick solutions, However this can pose a problem for our internal programming or “the way we do things”.
We were taught to believe that in order to get what we want we have to work hard to get it and it takes a long time. Save up and then you can get a house. What today’s society is saying well we want it now and we want it to be easy.
Okay so people say they don’t have time between work, kids, housework, shopping, football, classes.
We want a tidy house, how do we get it ?
What if you could get it by doing just 10 minutes ?

Picture this, you’ve just tidied the house and it is just the way you want it. As you sit down in the satisfaction of a job well done, you give a long sigh and have that well earned cup of coffee. Then you wake up 3 days later and it’s back to where you started.
Why can’t people just put away their stuff and keep the place tidy? This could have taken you maybe 4 hours of tidying. You started off just going to tidy one area and suddenly you got enough momentum to clean the whole house. Chances are the decision to clean the house started with a few swear words quietly or loudly to yourself. Okay this is a painful and ineffective way to get a clean house consistently. Does it work easily ??
Here’s an easier way to get your house in order more of the time.
Get a timer, give yourself 10 minutes to tidy up one room, if you get more people involved to do ten minutes ONLY.
Why only ten minutes? Try this out in your mind, if you were given a choice between 10 minutes walking or 4 hours on a sponsored walk when you could be shopping or watching the match, which would you do?
Most people will do ten minutes cos they have control, they can stop after 10 minutes even if the room they were tidying is not fully cleaned.
They have the internal choice to do more if they like, 15 minutes, again they have control. Ensure that you stop after 15 minutes otherwise you are not in control.
How to try this out: To get to where you want to!!
Sit down at your kitchen table and sitting beside you see the person who you would like to be that get’s their house cleaned. Notice how they sit, how they breathe, what their face looks like, how they speak. Next see your house the way you want it!
Everything is in the place you want it, see everything cleared away, you get a great feeling when you walk into it, you listen and you hear the sounds that you most like.
