Tips on Making Future Interactions Better by Michael Doyle PDF Print E-mail

This month we have some tips on improving your interactions with others in the future... particularly difficult interactions.

This comes from Michael Doyle. One of our excellent coaches. His work specialises on helping parents and children believe in themselves more and improve the way they think, feel and communicate!!  Check out www.choosechoices.com

1. Imagine you are in a cinema, looking up at the screen at an interaction that you want to have happened. In this case it was approaching and communicating with someone you believed it might have gone badly.

2. See yourself feeling great before the interaction, then going through to meet and talk to the person on something that you know that you agree on, e.g. the weather.

3. See yourself laughing/smiling and talking about everything else and it all going really well.

4. See it finishing well and moving on.

5. Notice how you feel.

6. Next see yourself climbing up into the screen and doing is as if it is
happening now.

7. So you are in the movie and notice how you much better you feel.

8. Repeat as is useful!
