Here are some tips for you to be able to deal more successfully with those 'bad' days which seem to come along.
1) REMEMBER, IT'S NEVER A 'BAD DAY'. SOMETIMES IT JUST FEELS LIKE THAT. The thing to remember is to never keep expecting the rest of the day to be terrible just because you had a few hiccups earlier in the day.
2) CHANGE WHAT YOU ARE DOING. DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT WHICH HELPS INTERRUPT YOUR DAY. Although days aren't bad, sometimes by you being in a bad state, it can result in you making bad decisions which keep problems going. Distract yourself as soon as possible.
3) WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING THAT IS A PROBLEM FOR YOU AND AFTER IT WRITE DOWN EXACTLY WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO ABOUT IT. Putting your problems down on paper immediately clears your head and lets you know exactly what the problems are so you don't need to focus on them as much.
4) GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK, SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO. Organise to go to the cinema or get a DVD out or something that you will enjoy... and you can't get wrong. That way, you can simply spend a few hours having a good time knowing that at least a part of the day is good.
5) DO SOMETHING EDUCATIONAL. One of the things that will also help is if you spend time learning about something or doing something educational. It will ensure that you can at least look back on the day and be satisfied that you have learned something good.
6) DO SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE. Like the last point, another thing that will help is if you spend time doing something constructive. Make sure that you pick something very simple... even mundane. That way, even though you won't necessarily love doing it, it will get the 'must do' item out of the way!!
7) IMAGINE EVERYTHING WORKING ITSELF OUT AND WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF ALL YOUR PROBLEMS WERE SOLVED. Imagining all your problems being solved is a great way to focus yourself on solving them as well as making you feel better about everything at the same time.
