The Wisdom of Crowds is one of those terrific books which challenges your assumptions about leadership, teamwork and group think. James explains the importance of understanding group processes and that with all the negative consequences of groups on decision making, argues that groups actually when working together effectively are a far more useful solution to making smart decisions. The Psychology of the group is explored as well as an examination of the decision making process and individual errors. This is a fascinating insight into an area of social psychology which draws from some of the most interesting research conducted and puts forward a hypothesis both clear and controversial. Recommended.
