This month, I want to pay tribute to one of the greatest geniuses of our time who sadly passed away last month. Robert Anton Wilson passed into the next world in January leaving behind millions of his fans and students and many of his friends worldwide. Personally I believe if RAW´s wisdom was everywhere the world would be an infinitely better place. So, here is an article on the genius of Robert Anton Wilson.

by Riane Eisler, the world’s greatest writer by the Irish Times, the most important philosopher of the century by Dr Timothy Leary and the most intelligent man on the planet by Dr Richard Bandler. Indeed Richard and I dedicated the book Conversations also to him.
Probably the best description in my opinion of RAW is from Dr John Lilly who describes him as a "SUPER GENIUS". RAW´s ideas have amazing power in them. He combines brilliant humour with extraordinary insight, unbelievable knowledge with superb wisdom and creativity. His books range from science fiction and plays to brilliant philosophical and psychological works. Truely he represents one of the finest minds that has existed in my opinion ever.
I had the very fortunate opportunity to meet and learn from RAW almost 7 years ago in LA at a course with Richard (Bandler) and John (LaValle). RAW came along for four days as a guest speaker and mesmerised everyone with his brilliance. Just like in his books, RAW convinced us of certain ideas then convinced us of the opposite and then took another perspective and convinced us of this new perspective before changing again and again. He had an amazing ability to provide the kind of insight which turns your world view on it´s head over and over again.
The main idea of his work is that the universe is always non simultaneously apprehended... in other words, our perceptions determine how we interpret and experience the world and our beliefs often entrap us in a way of thinking that prevents us from making progress in our lives. He suggested that our reliance on aristotelean logic imprisoned us in various dogmatic BS (belief systems) and offered the solution in what is called MAYBE LOGIC. This is the idea that teaches us to look at the world from multiple points of view and more importantly as he teches us to do... believe in the world from multiple points of view.
RAW´s books are the only books that I really feel made me more intelligent every time I read them. Full of fascinating information and brilliant insight he is a writed who I believe strongly is necessary for anyone who wants to become really good at nlp or simply really happy in life. I also still remember in LA when we had a questions and answers session and he had a brilliant answer for everything with an amazing encyclopedic like brain.
Books I recommend in particular are: PROMETHUES RISING, QUANTAM PSYCHOLOGY, COSMIC TRIGGER 1, 2 and 3. I also recommend goinging to www.maybelogic.com, www.rawilson.com and getting a dvd set entitled MAYBE LOGIC. I also suggest www.purenlp.com as there are some cds there of RAW at his best.
RAW is not only one of the greatest minds of our time, he is also one of the most inspirational figures. Even in his last few years with Post Polio syndrome, he continued to fight the good fight against the ´Tsarist´limitations imposed by the American Government. He believed in freedom for all. His passing into another world is very sad but his ideas will last a long, long time and his genius will continue to make the world a far better place. If only the world had more Robert Anton Wilsons we might get closer to paradise.
