My House and Ivy PDF Print E-mail
When I first noticed my house was showing a covering of Ivy, it started a one place and over the years it grew to cover most of my house, for a while it seemed to give my house a certain air of maturity of longevity it seemed to say "I know things" it served to what seemed to me a useful purpose.

In recent years and over some days I decided that the ivy had grown to cover most of my house and dominated the features, that were more beautiful than the ivy, the windows and door from the house had become dull and hard to see the true entrance to my house. The ivy had grown to be a large problem as it had got out of control and no longer served the purpose I thought it gave my house.

I felt a nagging at myself that I must do something about it, so I began to prune it back, not being much of a gardener little did I realise that I was giving it more life, cos at first it seemed to be making progress, the windows and doors were more in view but it soon got recovered, so I took some steps to fuck up its regrowth, I decided that to quickly stop it at the base of the ivy was the best place to move it from my house.

Once I started this and as I continued cut it at the root it stopped growing and once in a while I just cap the old root with some weedkiller and watch it dissolve into the dirt. The ivy began over a few days to peel and fall away from the house to reveal a new face of my house which I had not seen in a while and following a shining of the windows and a brightening of the doors my house moved to a new phase in it life.

Now as I look at my house it seems to be free from ivy, has large clear windows and a bright shiny door. It has a real sense of pupose and stands proudly as an open house to enjoy, now that is just a beginning ......
